This years Late September Nites
Classic Car Show seemed to come off without a hitch. I know there
was some worry that not many pre-registered and the raffle a week
in front was not at the level they felt it should be. Looking at
everything at the show, I would say those worries were just
pre-show jitters. I have pictures of 77 rods that I know
participated the day of the show, I try not to miss any, but I'm
sure that I do. So it looks like 2003 is neck and neck with the
2002 show, rod wise.
Live entertainment was added this year and it was great. Along
with the raffle there was again the bounce houses for the kids.
Hamilton's Main Street Diner was responsible for the Hot Dog
dinners and they were great... I can attest to that, I had one of
the dinners and enjoyed the hot dog, Chips, Beans and soda.
The weather was perfect for the show, not overly warm at all. The
lighting that was added this year helped the show immensely.
This years fundraising purpose, was to help acquire a portable pa
system for the Hughson High School sports program and other
events held at the high school.
All in all, I think the show this year was another success story
and again as in the past, look forward to being there for the
2004 edition. Please enjoy this years photo scrap book. |
